The 18-posture Taijiquan form of Wudang is a "New Frame" form. In order to meet the needs of national and international Taijiquan practitioners, this standardized competition routine was developed with the support of China's national athletic wushu department.

Now practiced in Wudang, this routine combines traditional Taijiquan, Free Palm (Xiao Yao Zhang), Soft Palm (Mian Quan), Five Elements Techniques for Lift Enhancement (Wu Xing Yang Sheng Shu), The Form and Will Boxing (Xing Yi Quan) and Eight Diagrams Palm (Bagua Zhang). It is suitable to be practiced ages of people. This complete competition routine is now practiced world-wide, and is presented in this instructional video.
